Who are we?
We are Bruce and Linda Petrarca. We live in PebbleCreek, a Robson community in Goodyear, a suburb of Phoenix, Arizona. There we have businesses: Bruce, runs Litchfield Station, providing electronics for model railroading. Linda is the first Certified ONE Stroke Instructor in Arizona.
She uses this very popular decorative painting technique to create custom wall finishes and murals. She operates Paint YOUR Wagon. Check it out at PaintYOURWagon.org.
We started scuba together in 1983. Bruce was already a successful land photographer, having been published
since 1967. He began shooting underwater on his first dive trip! Beginning with a point and shoot underwater camera, Bruce purchased a Nikonos IV-a in early 1984. He has upgraded through the Nikonos series and
started shooting video in 1992. The photo above shows Bruce shooting videon on one of the walls of Palau in 1998. He tried and like digital video in Palau in 2002.
Bruce's photography was most recently featured in a Mothers' Day special on Phoenix NBC affiliate KPNX-TV (Channel 12). The topic was things for Mothers to do with female-owned businesses and a
portrait of Linda from the 1996 Cayman trip was used to promote Oasis Divers, then owned by two ladies named Susan.
Why are we on the Internet? We enjoy sharing good photos. But also, we want to share our marine environment. Over the years we have continued our education
in scuba and the marine environment. Along the way we have been able to dive with many of the SSI Platinum Pro 5000 Divers. We enhanced our scuba skills and knowledge with Bruce Bowker, and Jay Stone. We got Enhanced Air certification from TDI. We studied photography and modeling with David Doubilet, Jim Church, Stan Waterman, and Marty Snyderman. We learned to Touch the Sea with a PADI Course by Dee Scarr.
We took courses in Marine Ecology. We learned about first aid for flooded Nikonos cameras from Mike Mesgleski.
